Now Qiqi's speech comprises of basic sentences already. Her best is "Yes, Mommy", "No, Mommy". "Are you OK?""Here you go" and a few more. At this age, she is best at repeating whatever the sister says, although it still slurs, but you can sort of guess what she is trying to say.
Simply thank God for the 2 wonderful girls that He has given us.
I have never found myself repeating so many times of the same word over and over again. This is so since last week, and probably this week too and going to continue on till the day my mission is successful.
Let me give you the *highlights* of the week. Here's the repeats like every 1/2 hr to 1 hr...
"You wanna PEE?""Do you have any PEE?""You sure you don't have any PEE?""You sure you don't wanna PEE?""You want to PEE, must tell Mommy OK?""You wanna go PEE with Jie Jie?""Jie Jie going to PEE, you want to go PEE too?""Mei Mei, this is the toilet bowl, you must say when you wanna PEE, OK?" On and on and on...
I cannot imagine the time when potty-training comes with the s**tting part. "Do you wanna s**t?" Dunno leh, I just don't think I can keep on repeating it. I have decided to go probably with "pass motion" unless the situation calls for THAT word...
**I think this PEE word is also my MIL most common word used in the week**
Daddy brought the kids down to Trail Dust Town in downtown Tucson, near Tanque Verde for train ride. We took the rides, went through the town, watched the stunt show and then feel cowboyish and cowgirlish for a while. =)
For the trainride, we took like 3 times, coz we get manual choos choos sounds from the girls.
One thing worth mentioning, the guys from the stuntshow, damn handsome! Especially the outlaw!! Bad guys always looks good! Maybe the saying is true! I didn't get a chance to take pictures leh... nevermind, next time, will drag Dee Dee along and tell her to get into the photo, while I just stand beside! Hahahahahaha!
These are some photos I capture, in the day, still a little hot like summer but in the evening, its really cool now.
The goody goody Daddy, digs out the inflatable pool, pumps it up and carry like 20 pails of water to fill it for her 2 precious girls to play in. You can't get a Daddy much better than that!!
You see here are 2 lovely Miss Universe 2016 and 2020 in bikinis!!!
Let's see, today is GOL birthday, so me and Jan and the kids went over to her place and we had a birthday party.
There, Qiqi said a few other words, she said "Auntie", and she also said "jello" on the same day.
Last but not least, she actually took an amazing step, she ate CAKE... yes, CAKE. I have been trying to get her to eat bread, cakes, cookies, puffs etc but with no success. I think its because she saw all the kids eating the cake, so she crawled over to my lap, sat on it and then looked at it real intently. Finally, she opened her mouth and took the first bite. The rest is history.
On this day, October 3rd 2008, in ST #2104, Qiqi ate 2 big pieces of marble cake from Fry's Supermarket, USA. She really "gives face" to Auntie GOL for its her birthday, to Auntie Jan for getting this delicious cake and also to her mom, for her mom makes everything tastes better than great. Hahahahaahaa *love love*
On this day, Qiqi seems to be in a good mood, or maybe long-term brainwashing really worked. She actually shocked us with 2 words... "Daddy" which since Day 1, we have trying to get her to say, coz everyone she comes across is "Mommy".
The next word came is "SORRY"... we all couldn't believe our ears. That stubborn girl won't ever say it. The best she do is to come to you, and pat you ("sayang" in singlish term). When she lowers her head and say it softly, I thanked God for letting me finally taught her the right upbringing.
The next thing I wanna pray for is successful potty-training!!!
Qiqi is saying more and more words clearly. This morning, she came to my bed and said "Mommy, Wake up!". Then in the kitchen, she pointed to the table and said "Cookie", coz she wanted one.
