Yesterday Dear lost his sunglasses and Ting Ting asked me why Daddy is so angry and upset. I told my 3.75 year old that its because her sister lost Daddy's sunglasses. Then I just wanted to tease her so I asked her, "Do you have 'qian qian' ($$)to buy Daddy another pair of sunglasses?". She really think about it seriously and told me, "Mommy, I don't have $$ now, but at home, I got piggy bank and I can give Daddy the money to buy a new one". It's really really very sweet of her to say that.
Then today, I brought her to the mall to take a look around to see if there's another pair of sunglasses that I could get for Dear. We went to Sunglass Hut and check out the shades. Ting Ting keep asking me to hurry up, then I told her that we have to pick out a pair for Daddy because he needs it for work. She actually said this "Mommy Mommy, I forgot to bring my 'qian qian' out, you pay first OK? Later we go home, then I give you my piggy bank.". I really thought she has forgotten about it.
When we reached home, I told Dear about it. He is pretty touched. He told Ting Ting that its OK. But she told him, "It's OK Daddy, I can give you my piggy bank to buy a new sunglasses (pardon for the incomplete english, but this is what she says), I buy for you lor, then you can go to work and your eyes won't be pain pain. Mei Mei (younger sister) naughty hor, throw away your sunglass, next time don't buy toys for her already." Sometimes, kids said the sweetest and innocent things of all...
